hi got a very annoying problem; i have a divx movie (8 mile,sent by a friend of mine, and on is computer works video+sound) don't have sound, only video. i tried to open the files with every program i have including the DivxPlayer 2.0 Alpha, but "no audio...." What is wrong? other movies don't seem to have this problem :(

i have download the latest version 5.2 from divx.com and dont work.

where can i find different codecs ?? thanks for help

Answers

It's hard to say. Your friend could have botched making the DivX. You might need a codec you don't have if your friend made the audio with something like Ogg Vorbis instead of MP3. http://www.divx-digest.com has a bunch of codecs. http://www.doom9.net does too.
