Just a quick note of thanks to everyone. I've been browsing the site since I started considering buying an MV and its made the task a lot easier. I've just come back from my first proper ride on my 2000 model F4 and F@*K me its good. I don't pretend to be an expert but the magazines and armchair critics who talk about whats faster / handles better / weighs less / blah blah blah are clueless. I really dont give a toss if the gixer 750 would put in a faster lap time or as one brit magazine put it "a 998 would slay it". If you assess your bike like that you'll have to change it every six months when a new model is released with more shiny things on it. A merry-go-round of hype to persuade people to part with thier money? A I've owned a variety of bikes over the last 20 years including all the jap makes and two ducatis. The question should be "how does a bike make you feel?". By this standard the F4 is, for me, the best bike on the planet. Tamburini, you're a genius.

I couldnt agree with you more. I've owned faster bikes, but I've never owned a bike I liked more than this bike. It appeals to me in every sense. Congrats on your purchase and enjoy! djc

I have hade my f4 02 for 2 months and I absolutely adore it, and it seems that every one on the street have my same opinion, including the riders of bigger and fast bikes they to look in amazements when they see this work of art. I have a ducati, that to is a fantastic bike but thay are 2 different animals with different personality. Jest think haw laky we are to have this masterpiece of Italian engineering.
