My question---who owns the church, school, rectory and the convent? who owns the contents of a church? who own the church grounds? Please help me with this, because it is causing a terrible argument.

To my scant knowledge in Canada The Diocese owns all of what you have mentioned. As to Convents normally they are owned by the Order Of Sisters residing.

all property of the diocese is under the name of the local ordinary. It is in the name of your local bishop!
