I would like to know if anyone knows if there somewhere are old police records, Circa 1914-1917. Have no idea where to look and as in AZ. cannot go personally to search. Thank You!

Well, I would say yes there are records but I'm not absolutely sure.

I remember that Sonoma State College had a complete set of what I think was called the Police Gazette. I don't know if it covered the the years of 1914-1917 but it may have. I know that it certainly covered earlier years than that. I believe that the San Francisco Public Library has a partial set of this Police Gazette. I would personally love to buy the entire series of the Polize Gazette if it would cost around $50 which I am sure would be more like $1,000 or more since I am absolutely sure that it is extremely rare. And I can tell you that in all the years I've been around, I've never seen anything like it anywhere.

At the main SF Public Library there is a photo album from the 1970s and some more older documents and books dating back to the 1800s. You maywant to look there. You may want to contact SFPD Community Relations Unit. The SFPD has records all over the city. They make euphamistic reference to "Iron Mountain". It is located in the basement of the Hall of Justice at 850 Bryant Street. Good Luck
