MPEG Encoder : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

People give me their movies on a CD-R but it is not in VCD fomat yet, and i need a free MPEG Encoder to encode those files to go onto a VCD so they can give them to their customers, i need help, can anyone tell me where i can get a free MPEG Encoder? NO DEMOS

TMPGenc ( was free for MPEG-1 encoding, but I haven't used it in a while so you better check to be sure. The fact that you don't know about TMPGenc makes me think that you don't know very much about the process of making your own VCDs. has some guides you might want to look at. You should also realize that if you make your own VCDs to CD-R, there are no guarantees that they will play. Some DVD players don't support CD-R media and in the USA, some DVD players won't play VCD at all on any media. However, PCs should not have any problems with VCD on CD-R.
