could anyone tell me if you need a certain block for ram air parts or will my YS 400 work

the ram air parts will work on any pontiac motor the only problem you will have is the hoods are different to mount the top pan to the hood

Ram Air 3

Don, If you have the original ram air 3 bottom pan and the top shroud, it will work on any 400 big block or 455. You will also need the flapper valves for the Ram Air inlets and the cable that operates the flappers from the RA3 knob under the dash.
