His poetic inspiration came from his childhood calling or vision of himself in the world("Alone") This remained his central fountain ("The Lake" last version)not all the loves or experiences that came after. The sheer love of the beauty of poetry and the height of his personal experience of its nature in dreams, in melancholy, on the borderlands of death looking dimly forward and sadly back.
