Did he die because of his abuse of alcahol?

Along with poverty, stress it seems a very large factor. Many of his problems and symptoms are often related to long term alcohol abuse(heart condition, hypoglycemia). The final inncident may been his forced drinking in a vote fraud press gang. All of this is speculation, but the drinking certainly did not help.
