C of G stock certificate

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Central of Georgia Railway Historical Soc : One Thread

I have found a preferred stock certificate dated March 5, 1956 with 5 shares, par $100. I was wondering how much this would be worth and if it is worth keeping.

Today and tomorrow there is a Stamp Coin and collectables show taking place in Macon, GA at the coliseum. There was a dealer there yesterday with stock certificates from the Penn Central, New York Central, Pennsylvania Railroad, and Pennsylvania and New York Railroads for sale for $3. If the certificate has real value (ie. Dividends due, buy out from Norfolk Southern) you will need to either contact Norfolk Southern or any stock broker(Any good one should have info on old securties and any investment value, or lack of, they have).
