MV F4 Special Parts - gold magnesium?

greenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread

Considering adding the gold magnesium swing arm, frame plates & triple clamp to the Special Parts MV. Check out the photoshop image; any thoughts on the gold versus the black?

Your bike looks great how it is now. The gold just looks out of place.

I agree, unless you were to gold-nitride the fork tubes, then it might blend in more ...nevertheless, your bike looks great with or without the mag parts! Congrats

Definitely stick with the black. Much more tasteful

Hallo Andrew Great looking bike. If you choose to go with the magnesium and leave it gold I feel you will create a visual conflict that will not sit comfortably with the overall bike. The gold mag does not enhance the blue/siver colour scheme. The Tonal colours concerned do not work together. This is why the black 'works' it's neutral where as the gold is a very strong colour. If you go with the mag stuff to save weight I would strongly advice painting it. If its an aesthetic led decision I would save my money or fit dymag carbon fibre wheels. Beautiful bike Tony b

I would stick with the black, the gold magnesium parts would look out of place. I sure like how the bike turned out, blue and silver go well together.

In my opinion, I prefer the black. I must agree with one of the previous responses as the gold takes away from the beauty.
