polaroid 679 film for image transfer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : polaroid transfers : One Thread

I just started doing image transfers with 669 film. Can you do image transfers using polaroid 679 film as well? If so what are the differences?

HI Victoria: I do image transfers with 679. I use then when I need an antique look. The yellow in the 679 emulsion is very strong and the image has a sepia kind of look. Sometimes the look is kind of mottled, but i find it useful, textural.I use the same paper, a Arches 88 a printmaking paper that is hard to find but very transfer friendly, smooth doesn't need soaking, i only passit through the warm water of if I am using a large sheet then i spray the area to be transferred. Good luck.
