Joy...yeah, I think my birthday falls too close after Christmas and my son's is just before Christmas! 'Course I suppose I could have planned THAT to be a little more convenient :-)!! Too much going on in the span of a month or so...between birthdays, Christmas, New Year's and all the company that goes with it. Lots of other "stuff" to think about and remember, too!

Hey thanks for the good wishes folks. Yeah, I'm gettin' a bit long in the tooth . . . 40 years . . . where'd the time go?

Yesterday actually started out terribly - I got food poisoning from supper the previous night, and was in the restroom for most of the late night / early morning. Took a dose of Lomotil, and Pepto Bismal to calm the 'storm'.

Called in sick, and slept until about one that afternoon. Woke up just in time to get ready to drive out to my grandmother's house (now deceased - but family gatherings are often there) to have a dual celebration - my birthday and my aunts / uncles 53rd wedding anniversary. Two aunts, one from Ramona, California (near San Diego), the other from Prosser, Washington (southeast corner of the state, near the Oregon border), have been down to visit, so the occassion was extra special.

We had a good time - anytime my mom and her sisters get together, it is a pretty good time. Catching up - logging in birthdays / funerals / marriages /divorces, just everyday life events.
