Have you guys been to see it? I've seen it twice and loved it. It just started showing at the IMAX in Tulsa. I may have to go see it again. :-)Helen, if you go to cinemark.com, you can register to win a trip to New Zealand! (Lon can teach you how to speak New Zealunk before you go.) ;-)

It was great; a grand and tremendous film, as was the first part. We went to see it the day it opened! I hope it wins some awards, it really deserves to.As an old Tolkien fan, my biggest surprises were during those times where the film made a 'detour' from the book, only to eventually 'come back' to what Tolkien wrote.
Can't wait for the last installment ;-)

Hi Rob! I went to see it the first day too!I loved the camaraderie among the characters. Gimli (the Dwarf) is hilarious! I can't wait for the next part either. :-)

That's funny Robert! My daughter did the same thing. She saw the movie, went to work, then went to see the movie again. LOL!She has a crush on Legalos. (The blond elf with all the arrows.)

Hey Gayla, I just saw it last weekend! I think I'm in the same boat with your daughter-heheheh!

Worth seeing on IMAX, Gayla... just not too close :-)As for a crush on Legolas, well I think I had that since I was 10 and first read the series! They did a very good job of reproducing my imaginary elves in these movies, too.
What really impressed me was Gollum - he's even better than my imagination had come up with. That's extremely rare in movies, and is why I usually prefer books :-)

Well, Tricia, since you twisted my arm, I think I'll go again... ;-)I like Legalos, but Aragon has charisma! :-) I agree about Gollum, he's very intriguing. We jokingly use a few of his 'lines' now. I love where he says, "wrrrrrrriggling". LOL

I have seen it twice so far and you could call me a "leeetle" obsessed. My husband and I are taking some of the kids in our youth group to see it at the IMAX tonight. I just cannot express how excellent this movie is!! WOW! Can't wait to see it on the BIG screen!
