Poe's first printed book was "Tamerlane and Other Poems / by a Bostonian" (1827). Poems, only. You can find and read its entire contents on line at www.eapoe.org, and judge by yourself Poe's literary qualities at his very beginnings, most of all, his acute sense of Unity and Consistency when so clustering his first poetical compositions. Each of them, to my mind, ought to be taken as really undissociable parts of a whole. Thence their later revisions and/or suppressions... Yours sincerely, Raven's Shade (Belgium).
