Hi, Thinking of buying a new lens for my F80, and have 2 choice in mind, Sigma 28-300 and tamron 28-300. Just wondering if the two of them is compatible with Nikon F80? Does it supports the 3D matrix metering? Read in the manual that some lens is compatible for it. Also, which is a better choice? Please advise. Thanks.

Better don't buy these kind of lens. The poor optical quality will upset you, although compatibility should not be an issue (at least for Tamron). Buy a similar priced Tamron SP AF24-135 and you get a much better quality. You can find some reviews here: http://www.photographyreview.com/
