Hi, i bought the Samsung DVD-S244 but with certain SVCDs it starts playing at 26 minutes. I can't watch those Svcds from the very beginning. They always start at 26 minutes. Switching of the menu option dioesn't help.(extracting the mpg file and burning it again with nero allows me to watch the svcd as wanted). I have no more idea what to do! Please Help.

Originally the DVD-S244 doesn't support SVCD (as Samsung tells me). However when I play a SVCD (homemade :-) is plays perfect video. Except with the sound I've been stuggling for a couple of weeks now).

That you player starts at 26 minutes I find really strange. I have had several copies from a friend of mine which all playback well. Also SVCD made with DVD2SVCD work fine. (Except for the audio part then, but as I have read this forum it could be a problem with TmpGenC, with which I also have somewhat lower quality sound on VCD).

Thus, your playback problem has to be something to do with the type/brand of CD's you use (I've have used lower quality CD's one time and I also had playback problems even in my Pioneer CD player) or the format of Audio/Video that's on it.
