FORT WORTH, Texas -- The owner of the Hooters restaurant chain has aquired a small North Carolina airline charter company in hopes of taking the Hooters name to the skies.
The chairman of the Atlanta-based Hooters, Robert Brooks, says he intends to establish a charter air service called 'Hooters Air.'
Hooters Air would provide leisure travel services for the golf industry to serve Myrtle Beach, S.C. as a prime destination.
Earlier this year, Brooks' offer to buy the assets of bankrupt Vanguard Airlines of Kansas City was rejected.
[So you reckon it'll go, er, hooters up?]
