"Old" train on NS going to Florida last week,......

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Southern Railway : One Thread

A friend of mine told me that he saw in the Forsyth (Ga.) newspaper last week that an "old fashioned" train was heading south on the NS main line last week (under it's own power), and the train broke down in Juliette, Ga. He described it as a "bullett train". I'm assuming it was an E or F unit, but it could possibly have been streamlined steam, I never saw the article. Does anyone else know anything about this "old" train that came down through my 'neck of the woods last week?

Elton.

Yes, there were 2 Es and a GP-7 in transit to Florida (Gold Coast RR Museum), but that was several weeks ago.
