Thanks, mebs, if there's any snow left over I'll send some down to you.

Merry Christmas all! Hope everyone fares well in the snow storms.

I'll be thinking of you as I wash the car in my cutoffs and tank top while listening to carols thru the open windows of the house.

What a glorious day we have here. High expect around 75, low humidity, blue skies and sunshine!

[had to add 'of the house' or you'd think I was washing the car with it's windows open.] LOL

Barefoot, I'm glad you clarified that. You're clearing suffering from sunstroke (or is it heatstroke) so no knowing what you might do!

What kind of a special day are your pooches having?

Dog and cat will be hiding from the munchkins when they arrive. their visit will be short, so dog and cat get a reprieve, and then can have a leisurely visit with gram and gramps who will be staying for dinner.

looking forward to a nap sometime after dinner, I think.

Have just about finished a beef roast here. I'm going to cut it in half and exchange it with a friend who is roasting a turkey breast -- then we'll each have different leftovers to freeze for future meals. I thought that I was going to be alone this Christmas, but there have been various folks who've stopped in for short visits throughout the day -- mostly to drop off food and small gifts {{blush}} -- it's nice to be remembered.

Lots and lots of folks stayed home this year. Several I know who usually fly somewhere just drove to a relative's.

Best to all! Enjoy your naps! (: (: (:

We had a big brunch here, then took a nap. In the meantime, a couple of folks dropped off enough sweet stuff to precipitate a coma--and the wind took out 2800 Duke Power customers in Durham. Over 20,000 Duke customers are without power in the area. Good luck on them getting power back any time soon.
