Try Thomas Ollive Mabbot's book "Edgar Allan Poe: Complete Poems" in softcover in print and available at bookstores. excellent background on historical origins and meanings, a little sparse on actual poetics. Read Poe's own theories in his essays on poetry and composition. Otherwsie that is a big chink to comment on here. There are two "To Helen" poems. The earlier, short one is the famous one.
