Sister

Hello all,

Today my aunt has passed on. She was my mother's sister and a nun for over 50 years. I didn't get to see her that often, but the memories I have of her over the years are of a truly saintly woman who enjoyed the simple things in life, and was both truly kind and strong at the same time.

Please say a prayer for her.

Please accept my condolences, Frank. That is a wonderful thing she did, sacrificing fifty years for God and fellow man. You probably owe some of your own goodness to her intercession for you!

Dear Frank:
Our lives are all passing by. We experience a brief separation is all. I tell my aged mom; Don't be sad. We all have eternity in which to reassemble together. This life is fleeting, and all of us must follow our departed friends and relatives.

You have the comfort of knowing your good aunt can meet her Creator like an innocent, by the grace she was given. It's not granted all of us. Thank God for knowing her a while; she was always destined for heaven.

Thanks everyone. You know the funny thing is ~a week ago my wife and I decided to take the kids to see their grandparents, (who live on the Left Coast). Now I find out that I've got some of my aunt's personal effects to take out to my ma. Funny how things work out eh? Almost as if there was a greater plan going on...

Actually, as long as I started a prayer request, could you add one for my mother as well? Her health is poor at this point, and could use one too. I'm not looking forward to giving her her younger sister's effects, but better me than someone else.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas everyone if I don't post again for a bit!

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May She rest in peace. Amen.

God Bless

Merry Christmas to you, too, Frank -- and I will pray for your mother also.
