Copying Vcd's with Easy CD Creator

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have received some vcd's that I have been trying to make exact copies of using cd copier on easy cd creator. I select copy to hardrive first and then press the copy button. However, after about 5 seconds the process comes to a halt and always stops reading at 19% of the first track. I dont know whats happening as I have some other vcd's that i received from some one else that record on my cd writer without any problems. All discs work on my dvd player too so I dont know what the problem is.

Due to this I then tried converting the dat files back to mpegs and then burn them to disc using vcd creator. However when I put all the tracks on my layout and checked they were all there, the cd burned with some of these track missing on the disc. This happened on three occassions.

Any helpwould be much appreciated. Thanks. Colin

I would just take the files from the VCD's and put them in a Data CD in Easy CD Creator, not sure if it will work, i usually just mpg's onto a disc and they play on the DVD player.

If you have to drivesjust take the disc and stick itin one drive and copy from disc to disc , it works fine . Or you can go out and get a program called fantom cd and use that that works great to , that is good for copying all kinds of discs that can;t be copied.
