OpenBSD, or FreeBSD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : All Things Final Fantasy II : One Thread

Well, I know most of the computer nerds don't post here anymore, and ATFF has never really had a Unix guru, but i need to know, what should I buy, OpenBSD or FreeBSD. I have been using Linux for quite some time now, and i want to try BSD out too. I know about BSD, however I don't know much about individual distributions. Any recommendations or insight would be great. Don't post if you have no idea what i'm talking about.

I hear OpenBSD brags about it's awesome security features. I'm not sure what FreeBSD brags about. You can go to their websites to check out more. openbsd.org.

I've heard OpenBSD is a lot more secure. I don't know much about it though.

Yeah, well OpenBSD's main focus is security, security, and guess what! even MORE security. It's pretty much all they have to offer. From what i hear, FreeBSD is better, but i don't want to have an OS called FreeBSD. OpenBSD SOUNDS cooler.
