Last week, I was blessed to be in attendance at the Connectional Lay Organization Executive Board Meeting in New Orleans. It was a very fruitful meeting and I am looking forward to returning there for the Lay Biennial in July, 2003. I was impressed by the dedication and concern that so many of our members, from all walks of life, have for our Zion. We have so many talented and resourceful people in the Lay Organization that I feel good, knowing that they will take the responsibility that God has placed in their hands and move the A.M.E. Church forward. Those who are not involved would do well to get involved on all levels. There is much to do. Special kudos to Eileen Warner for creating the excellent Lay Organization Newsletter, WE SPEAK. Continually, "working with God."

The Connectional Lay Organization Newsletter, WE SPEAK, is available by writing to: Mrs. Eileen Warner Post Office Box 7682 Tallahassee, FL 32314 The Newsletter is a quarterly publication and a subscription is $15 per year. Checks and money orders should be made payable to the Connectional Lay Organization.
