Ohio Woman Finds Porn Tape In Wal-Mart VCR

Manager Believes Tape Put In VCR At Manufacturer

CHILLICOTHE, Ohio -- A holiday shopper said she found a pornographic videotape inside a VCR she bought at a Wal-Mart store in Chillicothe.

Stephanie French of Londonderry says the tape appeared to be a home movie or taped from television.

The manager of the Chillicothe, Ohio, Wal-Mart, John Wilshere, says he's investigating the incident but speculates that the tape was placed in the VCR at the point of manufacture.

He says it's unlikely the VCR had been returned by someone who had bought it because the store doesn't sell items that have been used.

Some Wal-Mart employees with a teenage mentality were watching it when the managers were in a meeting. I write this because early on Sundays at one of our Wal-Marts, the clerks put on Playboy videos -- have seen it happen twice, now.
