thank you!!. I was having SUCH a great day today... then my fireplace did the smoke thing again!!! so My BP went way up as I fumed and tried to clear the house.. LONG STORY short.... finally, I remembered ....At least I have a home to fill with smoke.

BF.. I AM pinning it on them.. the places the smoke was billowing out, COULD NOT happen IF the pipe was sealed over the hole of the firebox!!! I would venture they'll have to pull out the FP and re- set.. not easy or fun, and a big MESS to do it.. so we'll live with out a fire till after the holidays, and then I expect this to be fixed.. it CAN;t BE safe.. and the smell of this smoke is noxious.... not like clean burning wood...

Oh, aand after that last night.. tonight, we had dinner, and I just pored us coffee, and my feet were wet from there by the sink... well....murphy at work, the drain pipe cracked and the night is spent with him up there working on it.. I left after awhile, men don;t like it when women tell them what they are doing wrong... so far I only pointed out he got the wrong size pipe, not enough elbows, and forgot the gaskets!!! I walked away, didn;t have the heart to remind him he used up the last bit of thread tape stuff!
