Hello, I have been noticing an increasing trend with the Forrest focus vehicle. There have been a number of occassions when Forrest focus has been reserved solid for three or more days. My errand running is usually flexible enough to work around this, but the vehicle is currently booked for the entire work week. I know there are other vehicles in JP but this is the only station wagon and it is my first choice because of the T. These reservations always appear in blocks so I figure this is just one person not a series of well timed appointments.

Given your stated policy of requiring permission for longer appointments I assume that this is approved by Zipcar. I feel you guys have made more than adequate contigencies for someone who wants a car for 2,3 or 5 days. The reserving of a Zippy for five days seems totally out of spirit with our collective goals as members of this great organization. I have rented from Enterprise car rental and have always found it very affordable with our corporate Zippy account. I hate whining so please put me out of our misery. Regards, Mark

This car has been busy, and we are happy about it, given our first attempt at Forest Hills a year or so ago. Utilization patterns are pretty normal. Like our cars closer in, we look forward to the day when we can put another vehicle there or nearby, making access much more flexible.

The work week reservation you mention is a service reservation for scheduled body work.

As a matter of policy, we do replace vehicles for long scheduled service and unfortunately have not been able to do this in this case. I apologize for this.

If you need a station wagon in JP there is another Focus Station Wagon at the 7-11 on the corner of centre and south huntington. You could take the #39 bus there if you don't want to or can't walk (its about a mile from forest hills).

To which Enterprise 'corporate Zippy' account are your referencing? Does Zipcar have a deal with Enterprise for longer rentals or did I read that wrong????

I have rented from Enterprise car rental and have always found it very affordable with our corporate Zippy account.

Yes, Amy, ZipCar does have a corporate account with Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I have found, however, that I can frequently get better rates (especially for a week or longer) if I just brouse the web for deals. You can call Zipcar for the account number.
