Poe isn't considered a 'crazy freak' or anything of that matter. It wasn't all that uncommon to marry one's own cousin, and still isn't today. Plus, it wasn't considered bizarre to marry someone who is 13 years of age at that time. What IS considered crazy (and irresponsible) is the number of teenagers (younger than 18) who become pregant each year in the United States.

i think think he married his lil cuz because he couldn't get none and he went to the next best thing his lil cuz i am sure that he new he can get some and i think he just wanted to keep in to the family.
