Help - Urgent VCD

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Video CD : One Thread

I have a VCD of a movie. Works well in VCD Player

I wanted to create a copy of it.

I have a CD writer in my laptop.

I copied the whole CD, all files and not only dat files in my laptop.

Later i copied the whole data on a blank CD.

But the new CD created does not work on VCD Player, although if i wish to play this new created CDon pc or laptop, running data file it works fine.

But in VCD player it doesnot work although ,whole data includin g supporting files have been copied.

1) You don't say what you used to burn the CD-R. If you made a CD-ROM format disc instead of a VCD, it won't work. VCD must be burned in a certain way to work and you may have made a mistake in burning. Try using something like Nero (http://www.ahead.de) to make the VCD. 2) Many VCD only players will not play CD-R or CD-RW media. Perhaps this is your problem.
