Read the Domain of Arnheim first. But mainly look at this as the complete antithesis of the the House of Usher. Here the conscious hand of man has landscaped with respect to the natural grand Amemrican wonders, an idelaity. Meeting the young woman with the ideal "unworldliness" and captivating eyes and lips and the peaceful Landor is quite a contrast from the narrator's invited(as opposed to accidental here)encounter with Roderick and Madeleine Usher. And it is not a story but a faux article!

However look for the word fog and mist and claustrophobic, Shangri-La nature of the approach and the valley(under the blanket of fog), the surrounding mountains. This is a dreamlike womb more than a romantic excursion into the British penchant for landscaping. The way he describes the fantastic, the misty, the natural and the arranged effects is very important as is his occasional philosophic comments and valuations.
