If you take a look at history, guys like Jim Morrison/Kurt Cobain/Elvis/Bruce Lee..the list goes on. It's just part of human nature to revel in the mystery surrounding death of famous people.

His work on the other hand has a lot to do with his life/mind.

if you've read his work, you'll see why....his mystery storys, his poems, such as the tell-tale heart, the fall of the house of usher, the raven...he WAS a mysterious person.
