December 2, 2002 -- Morning glory: ‘Fox & Friends' closes in on million mark

Fox News Channel's "Fox & Friends" continues to grow by leaps and bounds. It's not only closing in on 1 million daily viewers, but it's the most-watched program on all of cable from 7 to 9 a.m. (viewers 18+).

The show, co-hosted by Steve Doocy, E.D. Hill and Brian Kilmeade, averaged 974,000 viewers last month - up a whopping 31 percent over its Nov. '01 average.

The show has built up a loyal fan base over the years, with out-of-towners making it a point to stop by the streetfront FNC Studios (1211 Sixth Ave.) to catch a glimpse of Doocy, Hill and Kilmeade in action. The show's fans have also created online fan clubs and a demand for "Fox & Friends" merchandise - including a 2003 calendar that's selling like hotcakes and features photos of the co-hosts (and news anchor Lauren Green).

Today's guests include Damon Wayans ("My Wife and Kids") and former UN weapons inspector Tim Trevan, among others.
