I was wondering if a couple can get married in the church on Sunday.

Thanks Angel

We got married on a Sunday and the graces are still flowing in.

Yes, you can marry on sunday. If you choose to be married during a mass however, you would have to use the assigned readings for that sunday. You would not be able to select your own readings, or have certain other liturgical options, as you could do for a wedding mass on another day.

I think the rules these days are a lot more generous than they used to be.

My mother and father were married on December 22, 1956, and their priest told them they could not have any flowers - or even music - because it was Advent! It was not a lot of fun - my mom remembers how awful it felt to march down the aisle to the sound of - complete silence!

I had the same exact question! The link was very helpful. Now we're trying to find the right church.
