I want to convert rm file to avi file without using tinra or a capture screen program because I don’t have realplayer8 for the tinra and when I capture the screen of a video, it slows down. I have Robotech episodes and I want to convert it so I can make it into a vcd.

tinra and screen captures are your only options. You don't have to buy Real Player, so I don't know why you don't want to use tinra. I will warn you that RM is awful in terms of quality, so it's probably going to look like crap when you convert it to AVI. If you don't want to use tinra or screen captures, then you're not going to convert it.

I heard that you couldn't convert rm to avi with tinra if you had the Real Media One.
