The Douay Rheims Bible is your best bet.

Here is a link to a good article at ETWN discussing all of the current Bible versions, which ones are approved, and the pros and cons of each one: http://ww w.ewtn.com/expert/answers/bible_versions.htm

Dear Andrew, I have seen a leather-bound edition of the Douay Rheims at my local Catholic bookstore (Cotter's in Los Angeles) and I believe it is published by Scepter.

TAN also published one a few years ago - don't know if it's still in print.

You might also want to check eBay - people are always selling them there & you might be able to save a few $$ ! :-)

Angelus Press has them. I'll state here & now for the benefit of the forum that Angelus Press is an affiliate of the SSPX, and that if you want to get your Bible elsewhere, by all means do so. The poster asked a question, & I answered it for him.

I have ordered one of the new marian missals(1962)for a nostalgic keepsake.

I use the '62 New Marian Missal, & not just for a "nostalgic keepsake, either! You can actually go to Mass in the Tridentine (pre- Vatican II) Rite. If you'd like a list of Tridentine Masses in your area, post your city & state, or email me.

He doesn't read the bible. He worships satan. Do it. Do it now.
