Hey yeh psx is old but hey...

ok, so i got dis psx series... SCPH-5501 and it has a AC in, AV Multi out, serial i/o, and parrelel port.. i also got this Star Video Cd Decoder the av multi plug connects into the star video cd decoder.. den the yellow red white lines connect into my vcr. so i was wondering how i can get it to play VCDs... rite now, it won't play, when i put one in, all it does is mess up the Sony Playstation intro and stop there..

there's nothing connected in the playstation's parrelel port also nothing connected to the Star Video CD Decoder's DC In thing...

could that be the problem??
