Writers reflect the times in which they live. They are also a product of their cultural backgrounds and place in socitey. Your job in this research paper is to discover what those influences were or are for your write (Edgar Allen Poe). This should be the focus or thesis statement for your paper, the purpose of your research. Also include information about the time period. Explore the issues that unfluenced yoru writer: policitcs, social issues, the economy, etc. How did the time period contribute to this writer's themes, subject matter, ideas, etc. How did the time period influence his work?
