What were some traits of the major character in The Most Dangerous Game?

In The Most Dangerous Game... Rainsford is a hunter who falls off a boat and ends up on an island in which he is hunted by another man named General Zaroff. Rainsford shows that he is the kind of guy who will do what has to get done, and he does do that...if your talking about General Zaroff, he is a canibalistic maniac who hunts humans because he doesn't get a thrill out of animals because he's found them easy prey and has become bored of them which shows that he is kinda crazy
