I want to weld 2 pipes of Ø=19.07mm. What kind of butt weld is the fastest?

The fastest type of Butt Welding is upset butt welding like what is used to join solid steel wires end to end. However, I would not recommend that for joining pipes. That type of part normally requires the use of Flash Butt Welding, which takes longer but results in strong joints.
