hi I have a handycam sony tr 120 e and I connect it my pc with fireware card(ie 1394) I can record avi format film but I cant record real time mpeg 1 format how can I do? what is the name of software? where can ý get it?.....Thanks for helping.

The solution is to go ahead and capture it as an .avi formatted file, and then use a nice working program to transfer the file format to yur desired mpeg, etc. There is an excellent converter program called TMPGEnc that is the most incredible piece of freeware I have EVER come across - SERIOUSLY. That program is an incredible all-in-one video format converter, editor, - you name it. It's available for download at: http://www.vcdhelp.us

As a matter of fact, I recommend you go to that site instead of this one, as they have WAY more resources, free downloads, video articles, - they have it all for free.
