hey i got a movie in .avi format with a xvid compression, and i went to make it into a mpeg in tmpgenc but it wouldn't work. Is there any program that will convert this type of avi to a mpeg to be put on a vcd thanks!

first you need to go get the xvid codec. It is available on kazaa or imesh.Also you get download the new nimo pack from their website. This new pack has the xvid built in. I have had some luck using tmpgenc, but have found out that the panasonic encoder works better for xvid
