Gail, How's the music ministry going?

Dear Gail, I've been doing alot of music lately and wonder how you are doing. Tell me about your experiences. Yesterday as I was choosing music for Mass, I was thinking, I wonder what Gail is going to sing today. God bless you in all ways, always, Theresa

may I share what happened to me this weekend... my worst nightmare, and it happened TWICE! Friday night 6 of us drove 60 miles to do music for a healing service and then Mass, it took us almost 3 hours because of weather and traffic. Fifteen miles into the trip I turned white, realizing I'd forgotten a significant amount of the music. I had put it in a safe place so as not to forget it, and sure enough I did. I tried to improvise, but it still was a little rocky. And the same thing happened Saturday at a funeral, I had forgotten my copy of Psalm 23! ahhhhhhhh! Thankfully my husband was close by and able to literally hand it off just before the first reading! How are you doing? love,Theresa

Hey Theresa:

It is going great! I am accompanying Dottie the music director (she sounds like Carly Simon) every Saturday mass. IT IS AWESOME! I think we complement each other really well. I am so excited to be learning all these wonderful wonderful songs.

I loved your story. I always fear I'll leave my guitar or forget my tuner -- YIKES, ON A 12 STRING, no tuner means no tune! At some point, I hope to accompany her on the piano, but I only play by ear, so I'll have to be real familiar with the songs before I can do that.

Thanks for asking!

Love,

Gail

Gail, guess what! I play a 12-string too!!..and I don't read music, but just play by ear too, just read chords, the easy ones, that is. How fun! love,Theresa
