I'm sure this has been addressed before, but I can't find it on the board, can the american playstation 2 play VCD's? Thats all I wanted to know, please email me with the answer, thanks.

There is a way you can play VCD's on a PS2 thatim sure a lot of people arent aware of. There are some new modchips that you can install (can be a difficult challengeo do) that will enable your PS2 to play VCD's. They are kind of tricky to install, you have to solder about 10 wires to your PS2, not too tricky if you know how to solder, but getting to the main chip is harder than hell.

You'll find u can adapt VCD's to play on PS2.

You can play vdcs and svcds on a ps2 with a mod chip. www.modchip.com.

if you ppl think the ps2 has codec to play vob files so make vob files small enough for cd like split them and bam
