Thinking about assembling a custom Mauser VZ-24 (I'm a classic sort of guy) with a Parker-Hale barrel and a Bell & Carlson tactical stock for long range shooting. Might go with a Zeiss, Hensoldt, or Russian scope. Anyone know about the 4.5-13x56mm Russian scopes that they have on Binocularsmart.com?

I finally put together my first gun. I picked up a used (not that you'd know) Steyr SSG P69 with a McMillan stock and rocking Harris bipod. I finally, after asking and shopping around, added a Leupold 4.5-14x50mm long range tactical scope M1 with target knobs in mild

I shoot a Sako TRG-42 in .338 LAPUA MAG, U.S. Optics 20 M.O.A. base, I.O.R. Valdata Heavy Duty Rings, topped off with a Leupold MkIV M1 16X. Damn thing shoots like the dickens!!!!

I use a Steyr SBS 26" tactical HB bedded into a Mcmillan A3 stock. Glass is a Nightforce NXS 3.5-15X50 in Badger rings on a GG&G 20 MOA rail. I use a Parker Hale bipod. I picked the Steyr because of the good out of the box trigger and detachable magazine. Originally it was in the factory stock which was way to narrow and flimsy.

I use a modified Steyr SSG P2 (win .308)with an extended barrel. The total length of the gun is 1.77m. I have a custom built telescopic sight made by my friend Vladimir Kovac. The gun shoots over 1300m with accuracy (using cheap ammo). The original Steyr is an excellent system, but we (Vlad and I) managed to extend its range further. I believe its one of the best (if not THE best) rifles around, and was worth the effort and expence I invested in it.

I use a M40A1 with a 10X Unertl scope because that's what they give me. Sometimes the Barrett M82A1 .50 Cal. SASR, but not if I have to carry that heavy bastard more than a few hundred meters.

I use a Springfield M21 for personal use, and I'm good out to about 600m. My hometown department uses the Sig Sauer SSG 3000 chambered in 300 winchester Magnum. Its a great rifle for long ranges and is accurate as hell.

I use a Steyr SSG P2, .308 and have a Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40mm Long Range M1, with Mil.Dot reticle, scope on it. I donīt have any reason for why my choise fell on the Steyr, but it is a exelent gun for a decent price.

I have an Rem 700 VS + Tasco supersniper scope 16x42. The scope is OK but use it because it's pretty chep.(300$) And i use the Rem because there are alot of extra equipment for a nice price for these rifles.
