i've not used dvdsqueeze.com but if there r any complaints i would like to know before i download.

-- marti matthews (mat-star@msn.com), November 08, 2002.

Yes I have used DVDSqueeze, much to my annoyance. Am running XP pro on Pentium 4 Machine. Link to P4 Div x Doesn't work, link to instructions doesn't work, EasyDivx states that it has done complete DVD Backup in 5(yes 5) seconds!!!!!. Awaits file to open which it doesn't, Instructions for Flask software is not for the same version as that which is downloaded, and that doesn't work either.Other than that, quite good...... No E-Mail address to contact them about complaints either.

-- Mick Gawley (MickGawl@aol.com), December 03, 2002.

I run 98SE and it would not work as advertised and I can't get my money back. Instructions don't work and I couldn't get it to copy to cdr. As user friendly as SAP.

-- Ron Parum (rparum8539@aol.com), December 06, 2002.

Down loaded it, could not get it to run, asked several questions, but all I got was more software that still did'nt run, questions ignored! Asked for money back. Owen Kemp.

-- Owen Kemp (owndor@btinternet.com), December 11, 2002.

Thanks Owen, may explain why the mail order option is conveniently unavailable... Managed to get my payment blocked in time..

downloaded dvdsqueeze and the divx software, the divx gives a CRC failure when you try and run it and the Dvd squeeze.exe does not run at all.

DVDSQUEEZE!!!!!!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$$$$$$$$$$

-- JAS (wabash_in@yahoo.com), January 01, 2003.

I paid for dvd squeeze and nothing downloaded. What can I do? Does anybody have a phone number to call?

-- bob (rfloss32@aol.com), January 05, 2003.

Same here. My money was readily accepted, but no download followed. Mailed back and got an autoresponder telling me that the server was down. Mailed again and got a new link to download from. This link was also inoperable.

Tomorrow morning I'm going to give it one more try, followed by blocking the account and informing the Consumers Union. Looks like fraud to me...

Am having same problems as everyone else on here. This this is a con. Server permanently down for new link. Will give it one more go tomorrow and then try to stop payment.

Did a search on WHOIS and found these people own the domain dvdsqueeze.com. Try getting in touch with them thru these phone numbers to get your money back. (Note their email address!) If not contact the authorities FAST. (I did not buy this product - I was looking to see if anyone else had and found this site full of complaints and ripped-off customers. Good luck!) K

I thought that I would check out DVDSqueeze's claims and found this discussion. If you have paid and tried to contact the company but have received nothing, try filing a complaint with the BBB (bbb.com) and the FTC (http://www.ftc.gov/ftc/consumer.htm). Sorry to those who have lost money on this, but most credit card companies will refund the money. Good luck!

-- Nick Maheta (nmthor1@yahoo.com), January 14, 2003.

do yourself a favor if you run win2k or winxp just get dvdxcopy this program really backs up dvds etc and works great.

-- Jay Martin (ideaflo@hotmil.com), January 15, 2003.

I see all the negative responses. Well I downloaded dvdsqueeze a few days ago & paid my $39.95 & have had absolutely no problems. It does what it says. OK there are a zillion config settings, and the instructions are a bit vague. I'm not an IT wizz kid, but I've got DVDs on my hard drive now, and made video CDs which play OK on my under-TV DVD machine. I'm using XP with 768MByte RAM and a 2GByte P4. I personally don't like all the hype on their site - but if that how they want to sell it, then that's their business!

-- Andy Barkley (itfixer@yahoo.co.uk), January 15, 2003.

I had bought the full DvD Squeeze package for $89.00, and can't get it to work....Can't get any of the other bonus programs to work except the Nero program....Have downloaded the squeeze program, and when I go to click the icon on mh desktop, nothing...this is a rip off. I am not happy about spending the money on this....Have emailed customer service, and no response....I have windows 2000

-- Erin L Reilly (dingyblond4u@aol.com), January 16, 2003.

I downloaded DVDSqueeze but had to open it from location to get it to install. So far it has worked fine. It takes a really long time for it to convert the dvd files.

-- MLH (hurmmer@yahoo.com), January 16, 2003.

Well, after reading all that has been posted so far in this forum, I regret to say that I have fallen for a scam that is far from over as far as I am concerned. I have checked and all of the software offered by the company pushing dvd-squeeze is all freeware. The only thing the company did was make a Macromedia Flash front end to either launch the software or install some of it. I am sadden by this and really feel bad about wasting my $40 on it. I hope this helps everyone out there and hope like hell someone who is thinking of buying the software sees this message.

check this website for what they had to say about it (click on the news link):

http://www.dvddecrypter.com/

by the way, to try to get back at the dvd-squeeze company, here is the websites where you can download all of the software that comes with the dvd-squeeze 4.0.

http://easydivx.does.it/ http://www.flaskmpeg.net/ http://www.dvddecrypter.com/

I am going to file this to whom ever can help me try and get my money back for something that is free to download off the net. Please spread the word about this to as many people as possible and hopefully get back at these bastards for pulling this kind of scam on the internet.

-- larry (jafo86@juno.com), January 16, 2003.

Yeh, the bastards got me, too. I tried calling and emailing their "Tech Support" to no avail. I did get a reply from Generic Dork as follows: "Hi Doitch.

Your emails nor business are not welcome. Any further contact will be prosecuted on grounds of harassment. This is your formal written notice."

I have contacted my CC Company (Visa) as well as the FTC and BBC, and this outfit is at least supposed to be investigated for fraud, etc.

Here's one reply: Thank you for visiting the FTC's web page and for using our NEW electronic Talk To Us form. Here's what happened to your information after you sent it to us: One of our consumer counselors reviewed the information you sent us. If it was related to the FTC's law enforcement responsibilities, we entered it into our shared law enforcement data system. We share this data system with law enforcement agencies throughout the United States and Canada. Attached is your electronic response, which includes your reference number. Any enclosures can be found at www.FTC.GOV under the News Releases, Publications, Speeches option. Information from consumers like you helps Federal, State and Local authorities investigate possible illegal practices and enforce our laws. Someone from the Federal Trade Commission or another law enforcement agency may contact you if they need additional information to help them in an investigation. Thank you for using our Talk To Us form, and please continue to use the FTC's web page, www.ftc.gov, to get free information to help you avoid costly consumer problems.

Good luck, everyone...

-- steve (jpy60@msn.com), February 02, 2003.

Run forest run don't waste your time and money i download the program and the only part of the program that works well is the ripping process it took forever to convert to another format and you also new a zip program to install the playstation 2 software i think they need to take this one back to the drawing board..

-- wellington nealy (blk9boyz@hotmail.com), February 03, 2003.

To DVDSQUEEZE.COM, I'm very disappointed in this product. There are no instruction to this program. If I'm wrong please send me the proper instructions for this program.

-- Harry Smith (skully_92139@yahoo.com), February 08, 2003.

You guys ripped off by dvdsqueeze.com report it to yahoo at abuse.yahoo.com . I got the link from an ad at yahoo.

-- Shahid (shami_shah@yahoo.com), February 13, 2003.

Hey Boyz and Girls

I don't know much about DVDSqueeze but I'm glad I looked before buying I did however have a experience with DVDx (Freeware) I saw there ad and like you guys and gals paid my dough it allowed me to download a "clickbook" which is nothing more than a cheap manual with links (which were all freeware) I did'nt realize this until after the fact I contacted "clickbank.com" and they refunded my dough Does anybody know if there is a program that works I have tried dvdx, dup-dvd and a couple of others none work very well How about dvd copy plus by 321 ? Please email me

Thanks

-- Stubby (wjstuller@yahoo.com), February 16, 2003.

thanks everyone i was really interested - you saved me money !

-- mark in the canaries (marktarry11@yahoo.com), February 17, 2003.

Thanks to all of you for your responses to the DVD-Squeeze experience question. I'm definitely not going to buy it.

-- Judd Jackson (judd1234@yahoo.com), February 19, 2003.

I don't know if this will help anyone, but if you would like a good program that takes the hassle out of making svcd's, I've been using a program called dvd2svcd that works great, just do a search in google to find it.

-- JR (chebago@hotmail.com), February 19, 2003.

Ripped Off! This program is a scam, I can rip Dvd's but converting it into a VCD via the FLASK IT program, cant do it, the program just crashes saying (the program has performed an illegal operation)

Since I have asked for a refund I have herd no response from the infamous DVDSqueeze team.

-- Ben Carlton (ceben@iprimus.com.au), February 20, 2003.

I looked anxiously through the pages of dvdsqueeze.com and thought: "WOW" this is really cool! DVD to CD-R with EXACTLY THE SAME QUALITY. Then I started to find information about this revolutionary product with google and ended up here. Sad but true, DVDSQUEEZE SUCKS!

FOR GOD'S SAKE DON'T BUY THIS PROGRAM! ALL IT HAS IS FREEWARE SOFTWARE THAT CAN BE DOWNLOADED ANYWHERE! IT IS A SCAM!

-- Valtteri Christersson (valtteri.chr@kolumbus.fi), February 21, 2003.

I too tried DVD Squeeze, was not happy at all. Most of the functions when installed did not function. Ripping function was really good, converting to a usable video on hard drive or cdr was crap.

-- Zig (mmccumber@prodigy.net), February 22, 2003.

I too got caught by this scam, paid my money & downloaded what is no more than a set of freeware programs that can be found free on several sites. The instruction links don't work, you have to find the instructions as html files in the downloaded program files and open them from there. For good tips and links to genuine freeware programs have a look at the articles page at www.afterdawn.com. Aybody had any luck in getting their money back from this company? I can get any reponse from them.

THANKS GUYS I was also about to buy DVD-Squeeze 4.0.

-- SOMEDUDE (somedude552@raywpage.cjb.net), March 12, 2003.

I have been searching for days for a good DVD backup program. DVD Squeeze was the answer--so I thought. I planned on odering it before the end of this week. Gladly, I found this page before I got scammed. I am sorry for all of you that lost money to these Jokers.
