Most textbook writers credit Wundt with founding the first lab in Leipzig in 1879, which would certainly be regarded as the most famous. Some credit William James with a lab at Harvard in 1875. There is a nice overview of laboratory founding dates in William Sahakian's History and Systems of Psychology (John WIliley, 1975) in the table on pp. 138-140.
