AK - $95,000 goof misdirects Alaska election pamphlets

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Y2K discussion group : One Thread

Forty percent of the official election pamphlets mailed to voters this week went to the wrong districts, and state officials and their printer are working around the clock to print and mail replacements. The glitch happened because the state sent old, pre-redistricting computer mailing information to its Salem, Ore., printer instead of updated versions reflecting the election district changes put in place this year. Cost to fix it: About $95,000.
