What kind of poetic devices does Poe use in his poems and stories?

Lots. This question is rather broad. Poe does have a poetic rhythm and use of language and symbols in both stories and poems. What he says about the ideal short poem also helpsdescribe his idea of the short story. Restrained suggestive imagery, often story settings, also vague remote and fantastic, though rooted too in normal environments. The onomatopaeia and word music(alliteration, repetition) is extremely strong in Poe, connoting another intimate unity of the elements. The use of first person narration very often in both sory and poem brings us yet closer to the immediacy of the brief singular effect he is trying to achieve. Etc.
