WOW!

Best month this place has had in quite awhile. The peace, the quiet. Maybe just the little voices will crawl back, peek and speak. Naw. Good secrets are too tough to keep.

Every other Monday maybe?

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), October 28, 2002.

Whoa! Unk, you dropped the password requirement?

I need to look around, but this sure looks like the same place! I spent most of my online life lurking on this and similar pre-Y2K boards circa 1997-present. Here's hoping you remain invisible to the Evil Ones.

Carlos, good to hear from you again. It has been too long. Is Nipper still around? I really do need to look around. Probably have to wait until tomorrow though.

Haven't seen Nipper in forever.

So far this seems to be a board of three.

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeeD@yahoo.com), November 01, 2002.

Sorry to hear about Nipper... he was a pithy liberal and I have been missing him. How about Doc Paulie and Patricia? For that matter, did Aint ever settle his arguement about the tax exempt status of some well known but shady character? Or was that a different board? For that matter, where am I? Am I in an alternate reality, or was this once the biffy board? There have been so many spin-offs, after all.

-- A (a@b.Com), November 03, 2002.

Where are you? Why, that would of course depend upon who you are! Where is who, and how is why, and you are me and we are all together!

Doc and Pat are gone, hell, everybody is gone.

-- Uncle Deedah (unkeeD@yahoo.com), November 04, 2002.

Everyone may be gone, but is good that you are still here. Strangely, the baord looks to have been prety busy up until mid-september. Tsunami? Or did they all just simultaneously finish their last can of red beans?

Thanks, Unc. I had forgotten... I am the eggman, of course. So obvious. Are you, then, ...the Walrus?

-- A (A@b.com), November 07, 2002.

Had a rush of politic stuff that overwhelmed the board A. Drove everyone else off. But Unk, ever true to his word, wouldn't censor. It was only two people but then LL was only one and ruined BOK's chat singlehandedly. Noone has creeped back in here which kinda surprises me. Good to hear from you.

-- Carlos (riffraff@cybertime.net), November 09, 2002.

OK, Carlos, so let's start a conversation. I seem to remember you are a likable right-leaning person, so how about this:

I tend to favor the dems as a genetically inherited trait, but is there any real difference between the two parties? Those who hated Clinton beacuse he supposedly ran roughshod over the constitution and our freedoms seem suddenly very quiet over the Patriot Act and the Americans held without recourse as enemy combatants. Are most of the voices on the internet hypocrits? Paid by big-moneyed interests? Both? Neither?

Hey, if this fails to get thinks going, I can always insult Dennis or one of the other hate mongers.

If voting could change the system, it would be outlawed.

America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.

Its been a while since I checked in, but I do still lurk from time to time. Great to see you are still active Carlos.

-- Malcolm Taylor (taylorm@es.co.nz), November 16, 2002.

Attribution is yours A. You're right, but bailing and becoming a political nilist is hard for me.

Malcolm, so good to see your name. Please mail or post any forums on which you're active. Never paid much attention to NZ till you showed up. Now I even know what a kakapo is. Best regards my friend.
