photographs of ACL Appomattox River bridge, built ca. 1909

I am working on an interpretive sign about the ACL bridge over the Appomattox River Diversion Channel, constructed about 1909 when the Diversion Channel was constructed by the Corps of Engineers. I am looking for photographs &/or other images of this bridge in use, preferably with a train on it, &/or of trains in operation in the vicinity. I am also looking for photographs &/or other images of the Richmond & Petersburg Railroad in this vicinity. The R&P was opened here in 1838, crossing a marshy area where the bridge later stood. The R&P was the corporate parent of the Atlantic Coast Line, & I want to tell a little of its story as a part of the interpretive sign. The sign, incidentally, will be placed on the Appomattox River Heritage Trail, on the south bank of the Diversion Channel, in view of the remaining bridge piers. Dulaney Ward
